Makes me Happy…

I took this picture of Sienna this past weekend and I absolutely LOVE it! She’s turning into quite the little lady. I can see her transforming from a baby into this beautiful little girl. Every time I look at this photo, it just warms my heart and makes me so happy. And because of this, I had to post it on her blog.

Groupie…

Davis has always had a liking of the guitar. A few months ago, he began taking private lessons and over that short span he has gotten quite good. Apparently Sweetpea thinks so too, because she likes to listen to him practice on his acoustic and electric guitars. He can play the 1st chords to The Beatles’ “Day Tripper” and is starting to learn some Green Day songs.  At the rate, Davis is going; he’ll probably be in a band by the time he’s in high school.  And Sweetpea will be his 1st groupie!

Looks like she's dancing in this one...

Go Pumas!

Justin had a tournament this weekend and of course Sweetpea was there to cheer him and his team on. She was decked out in her bedazzled Pumas onesie - she has team spirit alright! All the little sisters of the team wear these shirts to the games and Sienna’s "uniform" was a gift from a fellow Pumas cheerleader – 4 year old Taylor.

Tastes Good?

I’m sure you’re all aware of KFC’s motto, “Finger lickin’ good”. Well Sienna’s motto is “Toe lickin’ good”! Sweetpea is quite flexible and is able to get her foot in her mouth (please don’t try this at home).  So I guess with teething and her ability to get her foot up, she’s combined the two by sucking on her toes! Pretty funny, huh?

Party of Five

This past weekend, we officially became a “party of 5” (at restaurants, that is!). Up until now, Sweetpea was too little to sit in a restaurant high chair by herself so she sat with either Vince or I. Well, that all changed a couple of days ago when we placed her in the restaurant’s high chair. She loved being able to sit on her own - in her own chair. Last night, we went to CPK and she wouldn’t stop bouncing in her seat she was so excited. She loved being able to look up and down the row to see what other people were doing and she would even turn around and listen to other people’s conversations.
She even did the “Itsy Bitsy Spider” with her hands while sitting there. If you didn’t know, since Sienna was a few months old, she loves to have someone sing the “Itsy Bitsy Spider” song to her while doing the hand movements. That song is a miracle song, it will stop her from crying, being fidgety in the car or distract her from something she shouldn’t have. Well, she’s heard and seen the hand movements for so long now, that every now and then, she’ll start doing the hand movements herself. She’s genius, I know! J

See..I wasn't kidding about the eavesdropping..

I think this is the "goes up the waterspout" part..

Adieu to Elementary School

Sweetpea attended Justin’s 6th grade graduation from elementary school yesterday. I remember Justino being a little munchkin just like Sienna. Now, he’s a young man, who will be starting middle school in the fall. Makes you realize that each day needs to be cherished because they grow up so fast. Before we know it, Sienna will be graduating herself…wait, I don’t want to think about that now, I just want to enjoy her being a little Sweetpea and all the enjoys and experiences that go along with that.
She didn't want to look up at the camera for some reason...super cute, anyway!

Stella

Stella is Sienna’s new friend.  She came to live with us about a month ago. Stella has something that Sienna isn’t familiar with…a pacifier! At first when Sienna saw it, she would grab it off of Stella’s mouth and throw it down on the ground. But after a while, I think she got curious and started to do something else with the pacifier instead. She decided to suck on it herself! So now, when Sienna plays with Stella, she immediately rips off the paci, inserts it in her own mouth and then starts to play with Stella’s hair. It’s all quite amusing!
