Post Bath Cool…

Sienna channeling Jackie O. after a bath. This picture reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory…you have to see the movie to know what I mean… I love this picture because she looks so darn cute!

Ballet and Dancing…

Since Sienna is so shy around other children, I decided it would be good exposure for her if she and I enrolled in a mommy and me class. So as a mom of a girly girl, I selected a Princess Ballet class that runs for 5 Saturdays for 45 minutes. It’s super cute and Sienna looks adorable in her leotard, tights and ballet shoes. Our first class, she didn’t want any part of and just wanted me to carry her while I participated. Second class, I refused to carry her and she walked and stuck right by me the entire time. Third class, she started to participate, but didn’t want to interact with the other girls. Fourth class, she would join the group, participated more and was listening to the teacher, but made sure I was never more than two feet away. Funny thing is I know she is paying attention because she performs the moves and routines we learn in class at home. So this I consider progress.

Also, she loves to dance and has really great natural rhythm. The past few weeks we have been watching Dancing with the Stars and she tries to mimic them. Immediately, she started wanting to hold my hand and twirl inward towards me. She is also copying their facial expressions which are so funny. Whenever, we are in the living room, she wants me to stand up and dance with her…ballroom style!

Halloween...

Since Sienna loves “Mimmie” so much, this past Halloween she had to be her, right? She loved it. Funny enough, Minnie’s costume shoes had a good size heel on them (probably about an inch), Sienna was able to walk in them, every once in a while teetering in them. When we initially bought the shoes, we had to hide them since she wanted to wear them all the time. The first night, she had a tantrum and refused to go to sleep unless she was able to wear the shoes to bed. She’s definitely one super girly girl and I love it and just adore her so much!

Love those legs!

2nd Birthday…

Just like her 1st birthday, we decided to keep the celebration at home. This time Sienna totally knew it was her birthday and that everyone was there to celebrate her. She loved walking around and socializing with everyone, loved watching the older kids hit the piƱata and play in the jumphouse (she still wouldn’t try that, even with it being Mickey and Minnie themed) and loved, loved, loved everyone singing Happy  Birthday to her and giving her presents. The entire week after her birthday, she would talk about her party and say, “Enna’s birthday!”  We even bought her a couple of cakes afterwards, in which she wanted to be sang to and able to blow out the candle.

Mimmie and Disneyland

Sienna loves watching “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” on TV and mostly on the iPad. But she especially loves Minnie Mouse (or “Mimmie” as she calls her). She loves anything that features Minnie on it…cups, plates, dolls, cash registers, yogurt, anything and everything. So naturally with this new love for Minnie, we had to take her where else…Disneyland. So in August, we got annual passes for the family, so we could see Minnie and her friends whenever we wanted. Sienna loves Disneyland, especially Small World. She chants in the car, “Disneyland, Disneyland, Disneyland” whenever we’re on our way there, which is just about every week. Ironically enough, she loves Minnie, but doesn’t yet want to get remotely close to her. We tried to get their picture together while visiting Minnie’s House in Toontown, but Sienna wanted no part. Oh well, we’re fine waving from a safe distance until Sienna is ready to get up close and personal.

No, she's not actually drinking soda...

Wes and Lindsay’s Wedding...

In September, Wes and Lindsay had a beautiful wedding at Padua Hills Theatre in Claremont. We dressed the kids up in their Sunday’s best and off we went. Below are some pictures of the kids from that day…
